Philippe, a native of French-speaking Belgium, is the Systems Librarian, managing the library's Website and its online catalog and providing computer and technical support for the staff. He also provides general reference service and serves as the faculty and collection development liaison for computer science, foreign languages, and recreation and parks administration, and in addition, he has taught French I and II in the Department of Foreign Languages and International Studies. Philippe holds a Belgian teaching certificate from Braine-le-Comte, Belgium (1991), a B.A. in French from Arkansas Tech University (2007), and a Master of Library Science from Texas Woman's University (2011).

Prior to coming to Tech, Philippe taught French in Belgium and K-12 in Louisiana. Professionally, he is most interested in Web-development (especially CSS), the French language and art, digital photography, and database management. In his spare time, Philippe bikes, reads, travels, and hikes.
