Frances has been at Tech since 1990 and is Pendergraft Library's Acquisition Librarian, managing serials, government documents, and acquisitions. She also provides general reference service and serves as the liaison and bibliographer for agriculture, English, engineering, and emergency administration management. She holds a B.S.E. from John Brown University in English, a Master of Library Science from the University of North Texas, has earned 300 and 500 certification for the Library's Voyager system, and was awarded the 1988 Arkansas Library Scholarship. Prior to joining the library faculty at Tech, Frances worked at the Archives and Special Collections at the University of Central Arkansas, the Rogers Public library, and was a school librarian with the Texas Public School system.
Her professional and research interests include authentication software for libraries, bio-fuels, and genealogy. She has published several articles in Arkansas Libraries, and is a member of the American Library Association and the Arkansas Library Association, serving as a member and Chair of the Government Documents Roundtable, Awards Committee, Arkansas Documents Consortium, and as member of the Conference Committee. In her spare time, Frances enjoys boating, camping, gardening, and reading.
